The Renewable Fuels Assurance Scheme (RFAS) works in conjunction with the Government’s Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) to ensure that fleet operators are buying sustainable low-carbon fuels in bulk. The Scheme provides fleet operators with specific greenhouse gas (GHG) emission data from the renewable fuel supply chain, which ensures accurate and representative information for company carbon reporting. Additionally, reliable GHG emission savings figures will help in making informed decisions about vehicle fleet decarbonization options by highlighting the benefits of sustainable low-carbon fuels.
