62 Miles in March – fundraising for GOSH

Mabanaft staff are taking part in the '62 Miles in March' challenge to help raise much needed funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

One of the things that Covid has done is make us all more aware of those less fortunate than ourselves, people around the world have been moved to do something to help others.

Mabanaft’s Aviation Logistics Manager, Harriet Gray, suggested the team embrace this positive trend by taking part in a fundraising challenge for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

62 MILES IN MARCH CHALLENGE

The challenge involves walking 62 miles in March. Money raised is used to help to fund advanced medical equipment, child and family support services, pioneering research and rebuilding and refurbishment at the hospital.

“It’s a great cause and an extra incentive to get out and increase my step count!” said Harriet. “Since we are all home- based it’s also good to all be working together (all-be-it apart) to raise funds for GOSH.”

Jo Swift, Mabanaft’s Office Manager, has been coordinating the event. She said; “We are really pleased with how things are going, we’ve already raised 72% of our target and we are only half way through the month! People are really getting into the spirit of the challenge, some even getting quite competitive! In the end we’ll all feel fitter and we’ll have raised a substantial contribution for GOSH.”
